Enyinnaya Onuegbu, Chief of Staff to Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, has accused former governor Rochas Okorocha of returning to claim the outcome of a political process he did not participate in.

Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Friday, Onuegbu said Okorocha was absent from key meetings, stakeholders’ gatherings and reconciliation efforts leading to the APC senatorial primary in Imo State.

He claimed Uzodimma had tried to contact Okorocha and other aggrieved party members after the primary, but they did not respond. Onuegbu also insisted that the Imo APC remained united, despite the disagreement following the Federal High Court’s decision declaring Okorocha the winner of the Imo West Senatorial contest.
