Former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has urged people in the South-East to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027. He described the move as a strategic alliance that could benefit the region politically.
Speaking on Channels Television, Okorocha said the Igbo should approach the 2027 election with political strategy rather than emotions. He also expressed confidence that Tinubu would win Imo State if his name appeared on the ballot as the APC candidate for Imo West Senatorial District.
The former governor made the remarks after a Federal Capital Territory High Court ruled that he won the APC primary for Imo West. Okorocha is challenging the party’s decision to submit Governor Hope Uzodimma’s name to INEC as its candidate.
