President Bola Tinubu has performed Umrah, the lesser Hajj, in Saudi Arabia. The President shared a video of the religious exercise on his X account on Friday, saying he used the opportunity to pray for Nigeria and its citizens.
Tinubu prayed for lasting peace, national unity and protection for Nigerians. He also asked Almighty Allah to grant the country wisdom and strength while blessing efforts to build a more prosperous nation.
The President arrived in Jeddah on Thursday and was welcomed by Nigeria’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Yakubu Gambo, BUA CEO Abdulsamad Rabiu, Senator A.A. Yari and Saudi Arabia’s Head of Royal Protocol, Ahmad bin Thafir. The Presidency said he would return to Nigeria next week after completing the religious exercise.
