African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has accused Peter Obi of secretly directing his supporters to work for African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar. Sowore made the allegation in a Facebook post, claiming that the two politicians opposed his political agenda.

Sowore further alleged that Obi was seeking to become Secretary to the Government of the Federation if Atiku won a future presidential election. However, he provided no evidence in the supplied report to substantiate the claim, which remains an allegation by the AAC candidate.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced plans to inaugurate its presidential campaign council for the 2027 general election on October 20. National chairman Cleopas Zuwoghe said the party was consulting Obi and his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, to finalise appointments and ensure the campaign team was properly constituted.
