Seun Oloketuyi, Chief Executive Officer of Best of Nollywood (BON), has shared an account of how Nigerian gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, reportedly died after collapsing on a staircase. Oloketuyi disclosed the details in an emotional tribute shared on Instagram following confirmation of the singer’s death.
According to Seun Oloketuyi, Toluwanisings was rushed from one hospital to another after he slumped. He alleged that two hospitals turned the singer away before a third medical facility accepted him, where he was reportedly pronounced dead. The account has not been independently verified, and further details about the circumstances surrounding the death have not been provided.
The singer’s death was announced by Pelumi Olajengbesi, convener of the Coalition of Public Interest Lawyers and Advocates (COPA), in an Instagram post on Wednesday. Toluwanisings’ family later confirmed the news and appealed for prayers for his wife and loved ones. Oloketuyi paid tribute to the gospel minister, expressing sadness over his passing and remembering the impact of his music.
