Nigerian Afrobeats singer Omah Lay has reportedly been taken to a hospital in Los Angeles, California, after sustaining a leg injury during rehearsals. Reports say the incident happened while the singer, whose real name is Omah Stanley Didia, was attempting an acrobatic stunt.
A photo circulating online shows the singer lying on the floor with his left leg wrapped as medical personnel attend to him. A separate video reportedly shows him being carried on a stretcher into an ambulance. Omah Lay is currently on his Clarity of Mind world tour, but neither the singer nor his management had issued an official update on his condition at the time of the report.
In a separate development, Omah Lay recently spoke about his struggles to quit smoking during a podcast conversation with DJ Dan. The singer said he had tried several times to stop but found it difficult to maintain the decision. He explained that he was no longer putting the same pressure on himself to quit, describing smoking as part of his current lifestyle.
