Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has turned down Eniola Badmus’ attempt to make peace following their recent public disagreement. Bakare made her position clear in a brief Instagram post on Tuesday, labelling her colleague’s apology “Fake apology.”
The dispute began after a clip from Badmus’ interview with comedian Isbae U circulated online. In the video, Badmus appeared to react dismissively when Bakare was mentioned among the interviewer’s favourite actresses. Bakare subsequently criticised the reaction and accused her colleague of behaviour she felt was damaging her reputation.
Badmus later addressed the incident, admitting that her response may have come across as dismissive and expressing regret. She said she wanted peace despite their differences and encouraged both women to move forward without resentment. However, Bakare’s latest response indicates that the apology has not settled the disagreement.
