Nollywood filmmaker and actress Funke Akindele has reacted humorously after veteran actor Jide Kosoko revealed that he sometimes feels nervous when she invites him to work on her movies. Akindele shared laughing and embarrassed emojis on her X page while responding to a video of Kosoko discussing her approach to filmmaking.
During an interview with African A-List, Kosoko praised Akindele’s energy, commitment and attention to detail but said her working style could be demanding. He explained that she may require a scene to be filmed as many as 15 times to achieve the result she wants, and can request additional takes the following day if she notices details that need correction.
Meanwhile, actor Afeez Oyetoro, popularly known as Saka, has defended Funke Akindele against claims that she is too strict on set. Speaking to FeelrightTV, he said firmness was necessary when managing a major production with a large budget and many people involved. He also described Akindele as caring and humble, based on his experience working with her.
