Nollywood actress Kudirat Ogunro has advised against burying deceased relatives in residential homes, arguing that the practice could create problems for families in the future.
Her comments come amid a disagreement over the burial arrangements for late gospel singer Olayemi Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, who died on October 14. The singer’s widow reportedly prefers a cemetery or church-owned burial ground, while his father has expressed a preference for burying him at home or in their village.
Reacting in an Instagram post, Kudirat Ogunro explained that children might eventually want to sell a family property but struggle to find buyers because of a burial site on the premises. She added that although remains could be exhumed, families should avoid creating such complications in the first place, describing her position as a personal opinion.
