Nollywood actress Bimbo Akintola has spoken about the struggles of her colleague, Funke Akindele, before she became one of the biggest names in the Nigerian movie industry.
Speaking at a masterclass organised by actor Femi Adebayo at his new media hub, Euphoria 360, Bimbo said Funke spent years in the industry without getting the opportunity to shine. She praised the actress for remaining persistent despite the challenges she faced.
She recalled how Funke transitioned into the Yoruba movie industry, started acting and producing films before eventually releasing Jenifa, which brought her widespread recognition. She added that many people who admire Funke’s success today do not understand the years of hard work and struggles behind it.

Yea she’s such a strong woman and I pray that God gives her peace and joy in every hidden aspect hurting or hunting her. I love Lafunky but I don’t know why she snubbed ToyinAbraham and was also absent at Ogogo’s Burial….I didn’t feel good about those but I don’t judge you still….just do well and right.
