The National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has said Northerners are angry with President Bola Tinubu for failing to fulfil his campaign promises. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday, he said dissatisfaction with the administration extends beyond the North to Nigerians across the country.
Baba-Ahmed argued that the anger is not simply because Tinubu has failed to listen to Northerners, but because many Nigerians believe he has not addressed the problems he promised to tackle. His comments come amid political discussions ahead of the 2027 general election and growing scrutiny of the administration’s performance.
According to Baba-Ahmed, Nigerians expected Tinubu to fix several problems facing the country, but he believes the president has failed to deliver on those promises. He maintained that the frustration felt in the North reflects wider concerns about the government’s performance nationwide.
