Nigerian gospel singer Alayo Melody has urged fellow artistes to turn down invitations for ministrations whenever they feel uncomfortable about attending, warning them not to accept engagements simply to please others.
In a video shared on Instagram, He said many gospel singers have become disconnected from their spiritual roots after gaining fame. He also expressed concern over the recent death of singer Toluwanisings and said colleagues had contacted him out of fear over sudden deaths in the music industry.
Alayo Melody advised gospel artistes to maintain a regular church life, strengthen their understanding of the Bible and remember the spiritual foundations on which they were raised. He also encouraged them to prioritise rest rather than accept every invitation.
