Fresh details have emerged surrounding the death of Nigerian gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings. His personal assistant, Babadunni Gbolabo, said the singer died on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, after suddenly slumping and efforts to obtain medical treatment proved unsuccessful.
In a viral video, Gbolabo claimed that the singer was taken to seven or eight hospitals in Ibadan, but none admitted him. According to the personal assistant, some hospitals reportedly cited the unavailability of doctors amid an ongoing strike, while others gave different reasons for not providing treatment. He added that attempts to resuscitate the singer were unsuccessful.
Gbolabo said Toluwanisings’ body was at the mortuary while the family awaited consultations before deciding on the next steps. He explained that funeral and other necessary arrangements had not been concluded, adding that the family would determine the way forward after meeting and reaching an agreement.
