Victor Osimhen has pledged to continue giving his best for Galatasaray after scoring twice in their 2-0 victory over Fenerbahçe in the Istanbul derby. The Nigerian striker opened the scoring in the 29th minute before adding a second shortly before half-time, helping his side secure three important points and return to the top of the Turkish Super Lig.

The 27-year-old’s impressive display came after criticism over his recent performances. He had also scored in Galatasaray’s 4-2 Champions League victory over former club Lille the previous week. Speaking after the derby, Osimhen said the support he receives from Galatasaray fans matters more to him than criticism on social media, adding that the club and its supporters have stood by him and his family since his arrival.

Osimhen also stressed that winning derbies is essential to Galatasaray’s title ambitions. He praised his teammates and supporters for their role in the victory, insisting the team followed the coach’s instructions and deserved the result. The striker added that Galatasaray remain determined to win every trophy available to them, regardless of the competition.
