Police operatives in Ondo State have uncovered a suspected fake dollar production site in Kiniso Village, Odigbo Local Government Area. One suspect was arrested during the operation.
The investigation began after Yusuf Nasiru reported losing $6,000, estimated at ₦8.6 million, in a fraudulent currency exchange deal involving two men, Peter Desmond and Olami Toro.
Police spokesperson DSP Abayomi Jimoh said operatives raided the suspected hideout on October 29 and recovered three bags of suspected counterfeit US dollar notes and a small wooden box. Other occupants escaped, while the CP Felix Ohagwu, ordered further investigations to arrest those involved.
