Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Bola Tinubu, has responded to African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain Rotimi Amaechi after he described Tinubu’s supporters as “mad” ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Amaechi made the remark during a town hall meeting in Benin City, Edo State, where he criticised Tinubu’s economic policies and described the removal of the fuel subsidy as reckless. He urged residents to reject the President in 2027, arguing that those supporting his re-election were not thinking clearly.
In a post on his X account, Onanuga embraced the word “MAD” as an acronym for “Motivated, Assured and Determined.” He described Tinubu’s supporters as driven by purpose, confident in their vision and determined to secure the President’s re-election.
