Israel DMW, logistics manager to Nigerian singer Davido, has urged Nigerians to ignore rumours that the singer is secretly working for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 presidential election. He described the claims as fabricated stories intended to generate social media traffic.
The rumours followed backlash against Davido after his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election. In a post on Instagram, Israel maintained that Davido’s position on the election had not changed.
He also claimed that Davido had rejected millions of dollars offered to endorse presidential candidates. He said the singer remained committed to standing with Nigerians facing economic difficulties and would not betray their trust.
