MultiChoice has discontinued Africa Magic Family after 12 years on DStv, replacing it with a new channel called Africa Magic+.
Africa Magic+ launched on Wednesday, November 5, at 6 am WAT as part of MultiChoice’s review of its channel line-up and bouquets. Africa Magic announced the change on Instagram, saying viewers should expect more stories, drama and variety on the new channel.
Africa Magic Family had become one of DStv’s recognisable channels, offering family-friendly Nollywood films, Nigerian drama series and other African entertainment programmes. MultiChoice said the replacement was aimed at refreshing its programming and providing viewers with a wider variety of content.
