Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has explained her decision to move away from her signature pink look, saying personal growth has influenced her fashion choices.
Speaking in an interview with GQ Poland, DJ Cuppy said pink had been her identity for many years, representing power, vibrancy, femininity and self-expression. However, she noted that she no longer wanted to be restricted to one colour.
The entertainer traced her pink identity to the beginning of her career about 17 years ago, when she used the colour to express her femininity in a male-dominated industry. She added that she can now express herself through different colours, describing her current style as vibrant, grounded and ethnical.
