On-air personality and event producer Yaw has announced that this year’s Rewind Concert will hold in Abuja and Lagos, giving music lovers an opportunity to relive classic Nigerian songs from previous decades.
The Abuja edition is scheduled for December 20 at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, while the Lagos edition will take place on December 30. Veteran disc jockey Jimmy Jatt will headline the concerts, which will feature music from different generations, including songs that shaped the Nigerian music scene in earlier decades.
Yaw explained that the event was created partly for music lovers in their 40s and 50s who have fewer entertainment options during the December festive season. However, after attracting younger attendees at previous editions, the organisers have expanded their target audience to include people aged 25 and above. He also assured fans that established artistes from previous generations would feature at the event.
