Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has knelt down in court and apologised to Justice Akintayo Aluko for her behaviour during an earlier sitting in her case involving alleged cyberstalking, cyberbullying and attempted extortion of Pastor Chris Okafor.
Doris Ogala, who was remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre following her arraignment on Wednesday, expressed regret over shouting and singing in the courtroom, which disrupted proceedings. She promised the judge that such behaviour would not happen again, while her lawyer also tendered an apology on her behalf.
Following the apologies, the court heard arguments on her bail application. While her defence counsel urged the judge to grant her bail, the prosecution requested stringent conditions over concerns about her social media activities and possible interference with witnesses. Justice Aluko reserved his ruling until November 6, 2026, leaving Ogala in Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending the decision.
