The National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has accused President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) of undermining Northern voters ahead of the 2027 general elections. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday, he said the region would resist any attempt to influence voters through money.
Baba-Ahmed argued that Northerners would not forget what he described as humiliation and neglect under Tinubu’s administration. He said voters would use the 2027 election to demonstrate that their voices and dignity matter, despite any alleged plans to distribute money during the campaign.
He also questioned what Tinubu’s campaign representatives would tell voters in several Northern and North-Central states, including Zamfara, Sokoto, Katsina, Borno, Kaduna, Plateau and Nasarawa. Baba-Ahmed warned against any attempt to manipulate or overturn the election result if voters reject Tinubu and the APC.
