Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has urged men to take responsibility for their actions instead of making excuses for their behaviour. Speaking in an interview with Saturday Beats, the actress described herself as an advocate for fairness and mutual commitment in marriage.

Uche Ogbodo said relationships should be built on equal expectations, stressing that partners who demand faithfulness must also remain faithful. She encouraged women to understand their worth, practise self-love and identify their relationship deal-breakers, adding that they should reconsider relationships where their needs are consistently unmet.

The actress also warned women against overlooking emotional and psychological abuse, noting that abuse goes beyond physical violence. According to her, making a woman feel worthless or inferior can cause mental and emotional harm. She added that some men understand the responsibilities and expectations of marriage and maintain disciplined behaviour in their relationships.
