Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has criticised bloggers interviewing relatives of late gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, over disagreements surrounding his burial. The controversy followed reports that his wife intended to bury him in a cemetery, while some family members called for a postponement and an investigation into the circumstances of his death.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Mercy Aigbe urged bloggers to allow the bereaved family to mourn privately. She noted that Toluwanisings died in his prime, leaving behind a wife and two young children, and questioned why the family’s disagreements had become a subject of public discussion.

“Not every tragedy needs an audience. Sometimes, people need the space to grieve. Have we lost our sense of humanity? What happened to compassion?” the actress wrote. She called on content creators to respect the family’s privacy and show compassion, stressing that the widow and children deserve dignity as they cope with their loss.
