Israel DMW, logistics manager to Nigerian singer Davido, has declared his intention to vote for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in the 2027 presidential election. He made his position known in a statement shared on his Instagram page.
Israel said he preferred a Northern Nigerian leader and questioned an alleged ₦15 trillion contract awarded to one individual. He also appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to allow Nigerians to freely choose their preferred candidate, adding that a good name is more valuable than money.
In a separate development, Israel DMW praised former President Muhammadu Buhari for allowing Edo State residents to choose their governor during the 2020 governorship election. He described the poll as free and credible while commending Buhari’s role in the process.
