Former Actors Guild of Nigeria president, Emeka Rollas, has apologized to actress Regina Daniels, her mother Rita Daniels, Senator Ned Nwoko and several Nollywood colleagues over comments he made during the actress’s marital crisis. Rollas issued the apology in a statement shared on his Instagram page on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
Emeka Rollas had publicly commented on the reported marital troubles between Regina Daniels and Nwoko in November 2025, also making remarks about Rita Daniels and some senior actors he said were aware of issues surrounding the dispute. He later said that after reflecting on his actions, including a recent meeting with Rita Daniels where efforts were made to resolve their disagreement, he believed he could have handled the situation differently.
In his apology, Rollas said he regretted speaking out at a time when the Daniels family was going through a difficult period. He apologized to Regina, Rita Daniels and their family, Nwoko and his family, members of the AGN Board of Trustees, as well as Okey Bakassi, Charles Inojie, Chinyere Wilfred, Jide Kosoko, Sanni Danji, Agility and Nazareth Jesse, saying the decision was based on personal reflection and a desire for peace and reconciliation.
