The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Living Faith Church Worldwide and Deeper Christian Life Ministry have responded to allegations that former President Olusegun Obasanjo allocated oil wells to their leaders. The claim, made by Reverend Mosy Madugba, involved Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo and Pastor William Kumuyi.

A senior media aide to Kumuyi dismissed the allegation, describing it as ridiculous and insisting that the cleric had no interest in oil exploration or similar business ventures. Similarly, Living Faith Church’s Director of Media, Patrick Nkamiang, argued that oil wells are national resources regulated by Nigerian laws and are not personal property that a president can distribute.

Nkamiang also stated that Oyedepo does not accept gifts or donations whose sources cannot be traced to legitimate income, adding that the church would not pursue legal action against Madugba. Meanwhile, an RCCG media official said the church would not respond directly until the accuser provides evidence to support his allegation.
