Bose Ogulu, the mother and manager of Nigerian music star Burna Boy, has named MD Emmanuel, whose real name is Emmanuel Abiola-Jacobs, as her favourite member of her son’s team. She made the revelation during an interview when asked to choose her favourite among the people working with the singer.
Ogulu initially said a good mother would not openly pick one child over the others, explaining that she loves everyone on the team. However, she eventually chose Emmanuel, saying she naturally has high expectations of him because of their long-standing relationship.
According to Ogulu, Emmanuel and Burna Boy grew up together and have shared years of work, play and personal experiences. Emmanuel serves as the music director and drummer for Burna Boy and his band, The Outsiders.
