Nollywood actress Bisola Aiyeola has said marriage is not the main focus of her life, stressing that she is happy with her current situation and feels no pressure to get married. The 40-year-old actress made the remarks during an appearance on the In My Opinion podcast.

Bisola Aiyeola questioned the value of remaining in a marriage when a woman is expected to handle most family responsibilities without enough support from her partner. She noted that some women provide for their families, raise their children and manage their homes while their husbands fail to contribute fairly, leaving them to question the purpose of marriage.

The actress said she remains open to marriage if the opportunity comes, but described it as non-essential to her personal fulfilment. Speaking about raising her daughter as a single parent, Bisola acknowledged that the responsibility can be difficult and said child-rearing should not fall on one person alone. She added that she loves herself and considers this period of her life one of her best.
