Nigerian comedian and actor Julius Agwu has spoken about the lasting effects of the brain surgery he underwent in the United States, revealing that the procedure affected his sexual function. Agwu made the disclosure during a recent episode of the Beer Parlour Talk Show, where he reflected on the impact his health struggles had on his personal life and career.

Agwu underwent brain surgery in 2015 after doctors reportedly discovered three tumours, including one described as being about the size of a golf ball. While discussing his recovery, he was asked whether the condition and treatment had affected other parts of his wellbeing, to which he said he experienced difficulties with sexual function. The discussion also touched on the nerves involved in brain surgery and their connection to bodily functions.

The comedian became emotional while recalling the difficult period, including its effect on his career and relationships. He also spoke about his contribution to Nigeria’s comedy scene, particularly his role in developing his music-and-comedy performance style, and alleged that some friends abandoned him during his health crisis.
