Nigerian singer Victor AD has apologised to fellow Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage over their unreleased remix of his hit song Wetin We Gain. The singer shared an open letter on social media, acknowledging that he should have addressed the situation earlier and taking responsibility for how the collaboration ended.
Victor AD revealed that Tiwa Savage had recorded a verse for the remix, which was never officially released. He said the reasons behind the project’s failure did not outweigh the time, effort and creativity she invested, expressing regret and thanking her for contributing to the song and supporting his musical journey.
Tiwa Savage accepted the apology and indicated that she held no hard feelings over the unreleased collaboration. In her response, she wrote, “I appreciate this. God knows the reason for everything. All love,” bringing a positive note to the exchange between the two Afrobeats artistes.
