The father of late gospel singer Toluwanisings has revealed that he would prefer his son to be buried in the house he built rather than in a cemetery. His comments come amid reports of disagreements within the family over the late singer’s burial arrangements, with his father reportedly favouring his home or Ikirun, Osun State, where his mother was buried.
During an interview, the singer’s father disclosed that his son’s real name was Sadiq Olayemi Bayonle and that he was born in July 1992. He said Toluwanisings lost his mother at six months old and later studied at Yaba College of Technology in Lagos, where he met his wife through their involvement in a church choir.
The grieving father described Toluwanisings as a caring son who supported him and his younger half-siblings financially. He also revealed that the singer had promised to establish one of his half-siblings shortly before his death. Toluwanisings is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, and their two children.
