Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington has revealed that he wants to face Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy in a boxing match after his proposed bout with skit maker Carter Efe. Speaking during an interview with Nevo Media, the rapper said he hopes organisers will make the fight happen once his clash with Carter Efe is over.
Speed Darlington said he wants to face Burna Boy because of anger he has continued to hold over his previous arrest, which he has linked to the singer. According to him, stepping into the boxing ring with Burna Boy would give him an opportunity to release the anger he has carried and would make the fight one of the biggest highlights of his year.
The rapper also made it clear that he does not intend to forgive Burna Boy over what he alleged was the singer’s role in his arrest. “I want Burna Boy next so I can offload all my anger on him,” he said, adding that their rivalry would remain even after the fight. Speed Darlington described the issue as unresolved and said the two would remain enemies regardless of what happens in the ring.
