Nigerian TikToker Habeeb Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, has apologised to Christians following criticism over a livestream in which he dressed in a white costume and presented himself as Jesus Christ.
The incident occurred during a livestream when Peller appeared in the outfit and asked a guest to address him as Jesus Christ. However, the guest objected to the request and warned him against making comments that could be considered disrespectful to religious beliefs.
Following the backlash, Peller appealed to Christians to forgive him, explaining that he did not realise his actions would generate negative reactions. He also expressed his love for Christians and disclosed that he attends the Christ Apostolic Church, while making a reference to Islam in his apology.
