Former Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege has issued a warning to anyone planning to manipulate Nigeria’s 2027 general election, threatening deadly consequences for those caught attempting to rig the polls. He made the remarks during a campaign event as he seeks the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ticket for Delta Central Senatorial District.

Omo-Agege said electoral fraud would undermine Nigerians’ right to choose their leaders and deny them a say in the country’s future. He urged politicians and others involved in the electoral process to avoid any action that could compromise the credibility of the election.

Emphasising his position, the former deputy Senate president declared, “It’s rig and die,” warning that anyone who attempted to rig the 2027 election could be killed at the scene. He said the threat was intended to discourage electoral malpractice and deter attempts to interfere with voters’ choices.
