The daughters of late Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, have announced plans to enter the Nigerian film industry and continue their father’s legacy. Lima Olamide Taiwo and her sister, Shakira Taiwo, also known as Kira Ogogo, disclosed their decision in a statement released on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Lima expressed gratitude to Nigerians, relatives, friends and entertainment industry figures who supported them following their father’s death. She also acknowledged several prominent personalities, including Honourable Tayo Ayinde, Nigeria’s First Lady, the Ogun State governor, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, and the Olu of Ilaro.
Lima said audiences would continue to see aspects of Ogogo’s legacy through her sister Kira’s work as she begins her career in Nollywood. She assured supporters that the family was committed to making its mark in the industry, adding that they intended to remain part of the entertainment scene for the long term.
