Mr Jollof Defends APC Campaign Prados

Nigerian comedian Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, popularly known as Mr Jollof, has defended the brand-new Toyota Prado SUVs reportedly set aside for the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign mobilisation. He claimed the vehicles were bought through private donations from wealthy individuals who had benefited from President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

In a statement on Tuesday, Mr Jollof dismissed suggestions that public funds were used to purchase the vehicles. He argued that wealthy supporters were entitled to contribute SUVs, Lexus cars and other resources to help the APC campaign ahead of the forthcoming elections. He also cited an individual who, according to him, had purchased more than 20 new Toyota Hiace buses for campaign activities.

Mr Jollof urged Nigerians to stop spreading what he described as misleading claims about the vehicles, insisting that those bearing APC insignia were donated by private individuals. He added that while he supports Tinubu and the Delta State governor through personal effort, others contribute financially. However, his explanation represents his own account of how the vehicles were funded.
