Microsoft has introduced a special edition Xbox Series X called the Xbox Series X-BITE, featuring a fully functional console built inside a life-sized, five-foot-long alligator sculpture.

The unusual design includes glowing green Xbox-inspired eyes, an illuminated Xbox logo and a custom controller with bite marks positioned inside the alligator’s jaws. The project was created by John Nolan Studio, a team known for its work on films and television productions such as The Witcher and Jurassic World Dominion. Microsoft also confirmed that no real alligators were harmed in its production.

Only one Xbox Series X-BITE was made, and Microsoft is giving it away through a free sweepstakes. To enter, eligible participants must follow Xbox on X, Instagram or TikTok, repost the official competition announcement and include the hashtag #XbiteSweepstakes. Entrants must be at least 18 years old, reside in the United States, Washington, D.C., or Puerto Rico, and have a public social media account.

The competition runs from November 3 to November 10, with the winner expected to be contacted on November 11.

Although Microsoft has not officially confirmed the inspiration behind the design, its references to Florida and alligators have led to speculation that the project is connected to Rockstar Games’ upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI, which is set in a fictional version of Florida.

Microsoft estimates the console’s retail value at $800, although its uniqueness could make it more valuable to collectors. The Xbox Series X-BITE is not available for purchase, making the sweepstakes the only opportunity to own this unusual piece of gaming hardware.
