Tyson Fury has accused Anthony Joshua of accepting their long-awaited heavyweight showdown for a final payday, insisting he has no immediate plans to retire after their scheduled December 11 fight in Cardiff. The two former heavyweight world champions are set to meet at the Principality Stadium following years of unsuccessful negotiations.

Speaking to WSVN Miami from his training camp, Fury claimed Joshua had turned down previous opportunities to face him before finally agreeing to the bout. The 38-year-old described the contest as a clash between two experienced British fighters approaching the later stages of their careers, while insisting he was ready to give his opponent the payday he wanted.

Fury also revealed that he could continue boxing beyond the Joshua fight, saying he has two bouts remaining on his current contract and might consider signing another 10-fight deal if the financial terms are favourable. He identified a potential trilogy against Ukrainian heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk as one of his ambitions, while Joshua maintained that he was prepared for the challenge and viewed the pressure as motivation.
