The Nigerian Army has postponed the ruling of the General Court Martial hearing the alleged coup plot case involving some military officers. The ruling, originally scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, 2026, has now been moved to Monday, October 5.

A notice signed by Major MU Ardo, the court’s Liaison Officer, said the new sitting will begin at 10am at the Scorpion Officers’ Mess in Asokoro, Abuja. The Army did not give a reason for the latest postponement.

The latest delay marks the fourth time the ruling has been deferred, further prolonging the military trial. The officers are accused in connection with an alleged plot to overthrow President Bola Tinubu’s administration, but the allegations remain subject to the court proceedings.
