AI is coming for everyone: Adapt. Learn. Evolve. Stay in the game.

(Ajibade Olasowo John)

On one occasion, I visited a restaurant where the television was permanently tuned to a music channel, playing music videos throughout the day. As I sat there, taking in the atmosphere and observing what was happening around me, something on the screen caught my attention. It was an interesting detail that got me thinking and prompted me to look beyond the music itself to consider what I was seeing and what it might mean.

Out of the 10 music videos that were shown, about 3 appeared to have been created using AI. I noticed people around me starting to talk about the creative mind behind the AI-generated videos and the prompts used to create them. Think about what that means.

AI is already changing the creative industry, and it is beginning to disrupt roles that were traditionally handled by music video directors, producers, editors, animators, and other creative professionals.

The bigger lesson is simple: AI is coming for everyone. Adapt. Learn. Evolve. Stay in the game.

This doesn’t necessarily mean AI will completely replace people, but it does mean that professionals who refuse to adapt may eventually find themselves at a disadvantage. If you are a video director and you want to remain relevant in this industry, you cannot afford to ignore AI. You need to learn how to leverage it, to enhance your creativity, work faster, reduce production costs, experiment with new ideas, and ultimately deliver more value to your clients.

The future may not belong to AI alone. It may belong to people who know how to use AI effectively.

Adapt. Learn. Evolve. Stay in the game.
