The media office of former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal has denied reports that the senator plans to return to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). In a statement on Monday, his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Prince Daniel, described the reports as false and urged Nigerians to disregard them.
The denial followed the circulation of photographs and video clips on social media that triggered speculation about a possible defection. Tambuwal’s media office explained that interacting with politicians from other parties does not indicate plans to change political allegiance, stressing that political relationships across party lines are part of normal public life.
The statement maintained that Tambuwal remains committed to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and is focused on strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. His office also urged media organisations and social media users to verify information before sharing reports about his political activities.
