Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, has acknowledged the economic hardship facing Nigerians while expressing support for his father’s reforms. He made the remarks on Monday at the inaugural Seyi Tinubu Colloquium held at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos.

Hesaid every generation inherited a country with existing challenges but had a responsibility to make decisions that would improve life for future generations. He identified petrol subsidy removal, foreign exchange reforms and changes to the tax system as key policies shaping Nigeria’s economic direction, while admitting that the changes had been difficult for many families.

He maintained that the reforms were intended to create long-term opportunities, even though their immediate effects had placed pressure on household budgets. Seyi urged young Nigerians to participate in leadership and decision-making, saying the choices made today should help build a better future for generations to come.
