Nigerian singer and pastor Banky W has announced his return to music after several years away, revealing that a prayer for divine direction led to an unexpected collaboration with gospel singer Victor Thompson.
Banky W disclosed that he had initially accepted that his music career was over but later experienced a renewed desire to return to the studio. He said he prayed to God for new songs if he still had unfinished business with music, and three weeks later, Victor Thompson contacted him about a possible collaboration.
The singer described the collaboration as an act of obedience and announced that their forthcoming single, titled SUPER POWER, will be released on November 6, 2026. He also admitted that he was unsure how to promote music in the current entertainment industry but was willing to trust the process.
