United States President Donald Trump has congratulated Democrats over their reported victories in the November 3 midterm elections, while insisting that the results do not reflect a rejection of his leadership.
Speaking during a telephone interview with Fox News, Trump acknowledged the Democrats’ performance but maintained that his administration had achieved significant successes during his presidency.
United States President argued that the Republican setbacks should not be considered his personal defeat, noting that he was not on the ballot. He also claimed Republicans would have performed better if his name had appeared on the ballot, while blaming rising prices linked to the conflict involving Iran for some of the party’s difficulties.
