Sowore Says Tinubu Will Lose 2027 Election

African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has predicted that President Bola Tinubu will lose the 2027 presidential election despite the large crowd at the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign flag-off in Kaduna State. The human rights activist argued that attendance at a political rally should not be mistaken for widespread support among Nigerian voters.

Reacting to the gathering in a social media post, Sowore alleged that the APC was using the rally to create the impression that Tinubu enjoys nationwide acceptance. He also claimed that supporters had been transported from different parts of the country to fill the venue, adding that the crowd would not determine the outcome of the next presidential election.

Meanwhile, APC Presidential Campaign Council member Musa Kwankwaso has expressed confidence that the North-West will vote massively for Tinubu in 2027. Speaking after the campaign flag-off in Kaduna, Kwankwaso described the gathering as evidence of northern support for the President and predicted that the region would help secure his return to Aso Rock.
