President Bola Tinubu has reinstated M.S. Danjuma as Permanent Secretary, Finance (Special Duties), effective October 22, 2026. The decision follows the lifting of his suspension, which was imposed after the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) uncovered an allegedly unauthorised office operating within the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
According to the report, the office, known as the National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office, was operating without presidential authorisation. The discovery came during investigations into another allegedly fake government body, the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council.
Meanwhile, the Kano State House of Assembly has suspended Yusuf Bello Aliyu, who represents Nassarawa Local Government Area, for three months over alleged insulting remarks against Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. The lawmaker was also directed to stay away from legislative activities throughout the suspension period.
