Omotola’s Daughter – “I Am Not Omotola, I Am Princess”

Princess Ekeinde, daughter of Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has spoken about the pressure of growing up in a famous family and the expectations placed on her. She shared her experience during an appearance on The Chat show, explaining that children of celebrities face struggles that are often overlooked.

Princess said being the first child and first daughter comes with the responsibility of protecting her family’s reputation and legacy. She also expressed frustration over constant comparisons with her mother’s beauty, fame and talent, stressing that she wants to be recognised as an individual rather than simply as Omotola’s daughter.

She added that growing up in the public eye can affect personal choices, including career decisions, relationships and appearance. According to Princess, mistakes made by celebrity children are often linked to their parents’ names, creating additional pressure to maintain their families’ public image.
