The National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has described President Bola Tinubu as a failure, arguing that Nigeria is worse off since the president assumed office in 2023. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday, Baba-Ahmed criticised the administration’s handling of the economy, insecurity and public institutions.

Baba-Ahmed faulted Tinubu’s economic reforms, describing them as anti-people and arguing that the hardship facing Nigerians shows the need to assess their impact before implementation. He also questioned the president’s decision not to campaign across all states, claiming Tinubu had little to tell Nigerians about rising living costs and worsening conditions.

The PRP chairman further alleged that insecurity and the number of out-of-school children had increased under Tinubu’s administration. He dismissed government economic statistics as propaganda, arguing that they did not reflect the daily struggles of ordinary citizens, and said there was no guarantee that another four-year term would improve their lives.

As much as it’s looking like a political stunt, it still sounded true anyways
