African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has expressed concern over the hardship facing young Nigerians and other citizens, saying many people continue to struggle despite working. According to Naija News, the former vice president raised the issue in a post on X while reacting to the rising cost of living and insecurity across the country.
Atiku criticised President Bola Tinubu’s administration, arguing that economic conditions had made it increasingly difficult for families to afford basic necessities. He also highlighted the challenges facing parents and pensioners, alongside fears of kidnapping and attacks. “No family should have to face hunger and insecurity at the same time,” he said, warning against allowing hardship and fear to become the future inherited by younger generations.
The ADC chieftain urged eligible voters to collect and safeguard their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of future elections. He described the cards as a way for Nigerians to express their choices and seek political change through the ballot. Atiku also pledged to work towards making life more affordable and improving security if given the opportunity to lead the country.
